  एक आदमी को शादी करते समय या दफनाते जाते समय सबसे अच्छा दिखना चाहिए। इसीलिए जब हमें यह समझ आता है कि हम अच्छे नहीं दिखते या अच्छा महसूस नहीं करते तो हम अपने प्रियजनों से भी मिलना नहीं चाहते। लेकिन दूसरे को लग सकता है कि हम उससे इसलिए बचते हैं क्योंकि हम मिलना नहीं चाहते। लेकिन वजह ये नहीं कि हम मिलना नहीं चाहते. इसका कारण यह है कि हमें लगता है कि हमारी शक्ल-सूरत या मानसिक स्थिति मिलने लायक नहीं है।
