This boy is a little kid from Haryana, India, around 10 years of age.
He is being called a Genius, a human computer, a super kid. He has been awarded Rs. 10 lakhs by Haryana chief minister. And he has appeared on many TV channels too.
Now what I wanna convey by this status? I feel that he is a victim of our society, which confuses memory with intelligence.
It is necessary to memorize things, but it is also necessary to memorize only the important, meaningful, useful things.
Human mind is a super computer. It does keep the important, useful things at front, throws the other material in its junkyard. It even does not register such things & such things become hard to recover.
Now we send our kids to the schools for feeding boring and unnecessary data, which they feed with great difficulty somehow into their minds.
And most of this data is washed up as the kid gets outta examination hall.
And much of this data is never going to be used in the practical life of these kids in the future.
But our schools go on labeling the most efficient feeders of this crap as the most intelligent ones. Such kids are awarded, given good jobs.
These kids are the most idiotic.
Unreasonable burden on the memory is not a help but a hindrance to the intelligence.
The thing is, it is the STUPID educational system, which has substituted 'memory' as 'intelligence'.
It is hard to tolerate the real intelligence.
Society wanna avoid it as much as possible.
Hence a hidden conspiracy is played.
THE VERY CONCEPT OF THE INTELLIGENCE HAS BEEN CHANGED.
Greater a data keeper, more intelligent is the one considered.
Whereas in reality, greater a data keeper, more idiotic the one is.
Intelligence is not compiling data in the mind.
Intelligence is selecting the useful data and using that data, experimenting with data.
You may store all the ingredients of the world in your kitchen, but to invent a great dish, you will have to apply "something" and that something is "intelligence".
Now a dirty game is played with this so-called-wonder guy Kautilya. In the name of intelligence, he has been fed with crap, all the info of the world which is not useful in his day to day life, what to say of his life, which is not useful in the day to day life of any average grown up.
But yeah, Kautilya will be honor, interviewed by TV's, would be given money, why?
So that the society may live in the oblivion, it may go on cheating itself, it may go on avoiding the real intelligence lest its foundation may be dug, lest its structure might fall.
'I have nothing to declare', Oscar Wilde once told an American customs official, 'except my genius'.
Genius is the only thing which is objectionable to the society.
